Use Google Pay to get $20 ride credit for Via

Google is investing a lot of money into ensuring that Google Pay is competitive. Much like the promotion they offered a couple months with Hotel Tonight, Google Pay is offering up a $20 ride credit for free if you use Google Pay to pay for a Via ride. Here’s the email that the company sent out to some users yesterday:

Plus, for a limited time, get $20 of sweet Via Ride Credit as soon as you complete a ride paid for with Google Pay*. Ready to go? Just fire up the Via app and tap Billing to select ‘Google Pay’ as your payment method.

If you don’t see the Google Pay option, you might have an older version of the Via app, so ensure you’ve downloaded the latest app update. Not a bad deal. The promotion is only for a limited time so jump on it. When you pay with Google after completion of a ride, a $20 ride credit will be added into your account.
